Segments
The Spirited Man is a segmented show. Each monthly flagship draws from a rotating kit of named formats. Not every segment appears in every episode. Van selects from the kit based on what the episode needs. These are the recurring segments so far.
The Segment Kit
The Build
Van makes a thing. Bench-scale builds shot in his workshop, with every material choice and decision narrated. The anchor segment of most episodes.
A Fix
Van repairs a thing. Short, object-specific, problem-and-solution format. Repair over replace, hands over cart.
A Thing We Love
Van shows an object he loves and explains why. Sincere object-appreciation: the warmth is the point. Multiple instances can appear in a single episode.
Ranked List
Van ranks a class of objects. Personal, specific to how each item changed his working life. Strong recurring candidate.
Fast Mock
Quick product critique or counter-proposal. Short, opinionated, visual. Under two minutes.
How It Works
The flagship episode drops at the end of each month. Across the following month, individual segments are released as standalone videos on the main channel. Each segment is its own piece of content: the extraction is structural, not editorial salvage.
The segment kit will grow as the show develops. New formats get added here as Van names them.
