About This Video
Eighty-five seconds. Converting a Costco folding table (2 feet by 4 feet, does not fold in the middle) into a wood-top table with a sheet of quarter-inch plywood. Add 3 inches to the length, 3 inches to the width for a 1.5-inch overhang. Nerf the corners with a roll of tape as a radius guide so they can bang into stuff without chipping the laminate. Start with what is cheap and structurally sound, then replace the surface with something worth touching. The Costco base is engineering. The wood top is craft.

I'm going to make one of these beautiful tables out of one of these ugly tables.
This folding table from Costco. 2 ft x 4 ft does not fold in the middle. Using a beautiful sheet of 1/4 in plywood. I
like a 1 and 1/2 in overhang. So, we're going to add 3 in to the length and 3 in to the width. I nerf the corners for
strength so that they can bang into stuff without chipping the flamin at all. I usually use like a roll of tape with the right radius. So, I'm a lazy
sander. So, I'm just doing 100 and 220 and then start building. Peel this sticker off.
So, first I'm going to get this nice and square and then draw marks so that it fits properly. Okay. So, with a 1/16thin
bit, I'm going to mark where I'm going to screw in the mounting screws. So, now I flip it over and I counter sync where
the screw marks were. It'll do be nice round counter sinks.
Clear drill for a number six 3/4 in flathead sheet metal screw.
I love this stuff. I think it's from Denmark. It's called Osmo and it's sort of like oil and polyurethane mixed
together, but it's food safe. You can eat it. This will be the first coat and then I'll do another coat. This will be my new sound stage
