About This Video
The road bag contents: spare SD card, passport, a goodie bag reinforced with packing tape, shrink tube, flash drive, extra headphones, earplugs for hotels. Van is always imagining crash-landing. A lighter for when you crash-land in the woods. An emergency whistle in case you are lost. A Swiss Army knife alpha brought on many airplanes, blade seized only once.
A Leica Q2. Extremely expensive. The Sony is probably a little bit better. Sonys are for technicians and Leicas are for idiot artists. A carbon fiber tripod. A charger bag. A one-terabyte flash drive for dumping footage. A little nightlight for hotels. A bit of a mess is actually more efficient time-wise than a perfectly sorted bag. Keep it simple. Keep it light.

So, this is the contents of my bag when I'm on the road. This zip pack has spare SD card. I don't know what this is.
Spare Postit, passport. This is just a goodie bag that I've reinforced with a ton of 2-in packing tape. It's got like
pencil leads, white out, just little knick-knacks in there. Shrink tube, flash drive, the cornerstone to repair, extra headphones, and earplugs for
hotels. I'm always imagining crash landing. And then this is my carry-on bag. And you got to have a lighter when
you crash land in the woods. Erasers, binder clips, have an emergency whistle in case you're lost in the woods. So
that's the front pocket, pencil pocket, all of the various writing instruments that I use. Oh, and I brought this alpha
on many airplanes and I only once have they seized it and they just take the blade out. back in here. A little bit of a mess as actually more efficient timewise than a perfectly sorted bag.
The main pocket, laptop, stationery, and maps, chopsticks, I guess. Carbon fiber
tripod. This is the charger bag with all the chargers that I need. A one terbte flash drive for dumping footage. Another
lighter just in case I crash land. A little nightlight for hotels, especially if I'm staying with my family. So when I
need to get up in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep, I don't have to turn on a light. Leica Q2. Yes, it's extremely expensive. Yes, the Sony's probably a little bit better.
Sony's are for technicians and Leica are for idiot artists. And then this rig either has a GoPro on it or the Sony. And that's it. Keep it simple. Keep it light.
