August Fixes & Builds

About This Video

Braxton's idea: catalog all the fixes and builds from a single month. August was a light month. Keys engraved by location because they all look the same. A revolver moon-clip organizer for the range. A rag box built three years earlier with hinges made from glove fingers that always annoyed him, now fixed. A plug on the verge of failure saved with five-minute epoxy and heat-shrink tube.

A bent IMI trophy repaired with number-two sheet metal screws. A toilet seat replaced. A quarter-inch sheet of plywood under Isabel's side of the bed because it was too soft (he had already done his side). A microphone arm extended so he could be further from the tripod. Seven or eight repairs. Van says he will keep doing these because it gives him an excuse to fix and make things, which is his hobby.

this video was Braxton's idea thank you Braxton August was actually a light month for builds and repairs but here's

almost all of them these Keys all look the same so I engraved them by

location I built this to keep revolver Moon Clips preloaded and organized for

the range go back and forth [Music] I built this rag box 3 years ago and for some reason made the hinges out of glove glove

fingers it's always annoyed [Music] me this plug was on the verge of failure and I do not want to find another

one 5 minute epoxy now I put it in this little rig this was my applicator stir resin hardener and I'll put shrink tube B it

after so that's the heat shrink tube and it's for the light table I don't have any replacement power cords

for it I don't know how I bent this but I bent it my IMI trophy number two sheet metal screws but it looks

real I scw I screwed that one up replaced a repaired toilet seat with a brand new one replace the toilet

seat and my old pair lasted [Music] years it's [Music] aluminum that's the old one [Music] boring but necessary Isabelle's side of the bed was too soft I had already put a quarter inch sheet apply it under my

side of the [Music] bed I didn't build this quarter 20 mic adapter this month it makes it so that a microphone can fit on the tripod but I I made an arm for it so I

could be further away from the [Music] tripod this is the test I and that's it I think seven and uh I think I'll keep doing

these because it gives me an excuse to fix and make things which is my a hobby I almost forgot this one I customized

the cord and put uh chord Loop straps for this power cord for

the monitor so this plugs in like this and then this plugs into the wall this used to be long and gross
